Kids age 6-12 enjoy lots of different activities on their horseback riding vacations at C Lazy U

The 6-12 program focuses on horseback riding. Kids have their own horse for the duration of their stay. The children experience the freedom of the great outdoors and make lifelong friends in the process. Activities include:

  • Horseback rides-morning and afternoon, including an on-the-trail lunch twice a week

Over the long and rich course of our history, the C Lazy U was the only guest ranch in North America to attain both the celebrated Five-Diamond and Five-Star ratings. However, due to changes in the grading system that would require us to incorporate certain commercial aspects to maintain our status, we have opted out as a rated resort since we felt those did not complement our unique western atmosphere. We are proud of our five star legacy and continue to honor its exceptional standards with what we term five "spur" service.

A portion of this operation is conducted on the Arapahoe National Forest under a special use permit from the U. S. Bureau of Land Management and the U. S. Forest Service.
